I know, it's been way too long. Here are some pictures taken the last two days. We've had beautiful weather, in the upper 70s. We've spent lots of time outside playing. Playing ball, digging in the dirt, going for walks, sliding, pretending, and a little gardening too.

Both kids are getting big. It's hard to believe that just months ago Micah was learning to walk when he now runs. His hair is getting pretty blond. Mylie is getting tan.

This year we started a little garden. It's been lots of fun to watch things grow and to eat things we've grown. We've eaten strawberries, romaine lettuce, and sugar snap peas from our garden. Mylie helped plant a lot of the seeds and has enjoyed watching plants sprout up and grow. We're currently attempting to grow more romaine lettuce, more sugar snap peas, a pumpkin, zucchini, tomatoes, bell peppers, marigolds, nasturtiums, a mix of lettuces, basil, and carrots. We hope to also have a fall crop of lettuce, carrots, spinach, and sugar snap peas. Only time will tell. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

Due to the weather, our blueberries are just now starting to ripen. Micah is learning that the green ones aren't ready yet. Both kids have eaten a total of about eight berries off our bushes so far. As you can see, this one was big. We can't wait for more to ripen. Blueberry muffins, blueberry cookies, blueberry pancakes, etc. Yum!

We eat a lot of refried beans. Micah often sits on the bag when eating his snack or while watching mommy in the kitchen.

Though I have no pictures to share with you, we've also enjoyed seeing the wildlife. We've had a mother and baby deer visit our backyard almost daily. It's been neat to see the fawn grow and how he/she has lost their spots slowly along the way. One day we even saw three bucks in our backyard. We've also had Violet-Green Sparrows nest on our front porch. Mylie liked watching the parents bring things to build their nest and hearing the babies chirp. Micah loves to watch the American Goldfinches and Purple Finches at the bird feeders.
This morning while I was folding laundry, Micah came up and started pointing to the laundry. Then I realized he wasn't just pointing to it, he was counting. He counted to five without any prompting. I think he learned from watching Mylie. When she's counting something she points to each thing she's counting as she goes along. Micah was mimicking what he sees her do when she counts, isn't that cute? And smart too, if I do say so myself.
