We have fire! Well, the fireplace was supposed to be installed yesterday, but unfortuately it was on a freight truck that was running a day late. The good news is, as you can see, it came today! Eric and I are really happy with our new fireplace and know that we will enjoy it for years to come. Pictured is our first fire in our new fireplace. This will definately cut down on our heating bill next winter! Tomorrow drywall and cement board go up, I'll have more pictures then.

We have lots going on in our house right now. Not only am I four months pregnant (now in week 19), but we are also putting a fireplace in our home. The first picture is the before and the second picture is after the framing went up today. To be exact, we are putting in an EPA phase II, high efficiency, wood burning, Washington approved, zero clearance fireplace, the "Montecito" by Lennox. (isn't that a mouthful?) The fireplace is to arrive April 26th, I'll take another picture after it's installed.

So, do I look bigger? I feel bigger. On Monday I made the appointment for our anatomy ultrasound, May 16th. Not only will they look at the baby's spine, organs, and overall development, but we will also find out the baby's sex! Hopefully the baby will cooperate and turn the right way so we can see. I can't wait!!!!! This also means new ultrasound pictures to post on the blog. : )

Chloe got a toy for Easter and I just couldn't resist taking her picture and sharing it with everyone.
Well, this is week 17 of 40 and in the last week my tummy has definately grown. It feels like someone is slowly blowing up a balloon inside of me. We had an appointment on Tuesday and once again got to hear our baby's heartbeat. This time Donna, our midwife, said the heartbeat was in the high 140s to low 150s. She said the baby's heartbeat sounded like a salsa dance. : ) We asked her what she thought we were having according to the heartbeat and she just smiled and said "we'll see", meaning we have to wait until our next appointment in May when we'll have an anatomy ultrasound and the baby's sex will be determined. During the first trimester I lost approx. 3 to 4 pounds, which isn't totally uncommon, I am now back to my original weight. Donna says I look great and everything is right on track, just what I wanted to hear. Also at our appointment Donna asked me if I had felt my uterus and well, if I had, I didn't know it. So, she had me feel the top of it and well, it's round. She then had Eric feel it. It was neat to think the baby's right on the other side.
